If you have lost your pet, keep ID, rabies tag, liscense, tattoo, and/or microchip on your pet at all times. Keep your pets confined to your yard or on a leash with you.

If your pet is lost ACT QUICKLY! Minnesota law requires animals be held only 5 days!
After which your pet may be euthanized or sold to a research facility.

Contact the police departments in your surrounding communites to file a lost pet report and to determine which facility your pet would be taken to by animal control officer.
Visit the animal control facilities and shelters IN PERSON. It is easy to make mistakes identifying an animal over the phone.
Post flyers and pictures in the area your pet was last seen, go door-to-door to inform your neighbors, run ads in local papers and check your local cable service - some will run free lost pet ads.
DON”T GIVE UP!
Continue to check the shelters and animal control facilities - your pet may run for WEEKS.
